This state of the art counterflow drum mixer is 9’6” x 44’ and routinely produces 325 tph at 25 to 30% recycle. The Gencor Ultraflame II, UFII-100 oil provides the heat. The system was new in 2000. This equipment is being replaced with new larger plant for more production. All equipment now on the ground and ready for loading.
(1) Stationary Gencor CF drum- This state of the art counterflow drum mixer is 9’6” x 44’ and routinely produces 325 tph at 25 to 30% recycle.
The Gencor Ultraflame II, UFII-100 oil provides the heat. The system was new in 2000.
A 26.5” wide flange beam frame supports the drum. It is driven by four trunnions each powered by 30 HP motors.
It utilizes a center entry recycle collar. For additional support, both an internal and external 8’ long x ¼” support ban
was added to the shell near the collar. The tires, trunnions, and support rigging all appear to be in very good working order.
The internal flighting system is in good working order. The system is fed aggregates with a 30” slinger conveyor.
If one is standing behind the burner looking down the length of the drum, the discharge of materials is bottom right.
Both breechings and the duct work up to the knockout box is included.
(2) Stationary 52,000ACFM Bituma Stor Baghouse- This bag house was built new in 1986 by Bituma-Stor.
Again It is being replaced with a new higher production model.
The box has a huge interior volume for excess airflow in even the dustiest conditions.
The house has the largest bag spacing and row spacing of any direct pulse house in the industry.
The house was built entirely of 3/16” plate. All access doors to the bags and the double diaphragm Goyen valves are on top of the house.
Baghouse would require 406 bags that are 14’ long and 6” diameter for a nominal 8,923 square feet of cloth. At 50,000 cfm it would have a 5.6 to one air to cloth ratio.Again no bags and only some cages included.
The two dust augers from the baghouse back to the drum are included. One is 14” x 31’ driven by a 15 hp motor and the other is 14” x 15’ driven by a 10 hp motor.
The knockout box with stand and the ductwork from it to the baghouse are included.
The outlet ductwork from the baghouse with the 150 hp motor and fan with remote controlled damper and stack is included. NOTE: Compressor is not included
An air permit for this plant was performed and passed in 2016.
Once again, I thoroughly inspected the tires, trunnions and rigging and they all appear to be in very good condition. The burner has no issues.
I took some photos of the flighting. The spiral entry flights are new. With some minor exceptions, the flights appear good to very good. .
